My security career started as a bad habit, I couldn't look at a system without wanting to know how it broke. That instinct is still the engine, now it just has a discipline around it.
I work where offensive security, industrial control systems, and threat intelligence meet, a cybersecurity master's student at New York University on a 4.0. Over four years that's meant an ICS security operations platform, a model that turns raw APT reports into structured intel, and a deepfake detector that earned a $17,000 grant — tools I wished existed, so I built them.
I'm the person who falls into a rabbit hole at 11pm and climbs out at 4am with something that actually runs. Long term I want to build: a serious research career, and eventually a company. Tools people use in the field, not papers that sit on a shelf.

The current chapter — on Rocket's information security team in Detroit, working across the Security Operations Center (SOC) and cyber threat intelligence (CTI). It's where my ICS/OT and threat-intel background meets defensive security at the scale of one of the largest fintech companies in the country.

Firmware for industrial IoT. I built gateway modules in embedded C on FreeRTOS — VPN, store-and-forward, file compression — and added HTTP and Web-UI functionality. I hardened the codebase through code reviews and secure-coding practices, upgraded the Arduino JSON library to close security gaps, and hosted the VPN server on AWS behind NGINX with TLS.

Where my ICS/OT focus took shape. I built a full research lab on VMware ESXi with OT and IT systems side by side, then stood up a SIEM-capable SOC using ELK alongside Snort, Suricata, Wazuh, and Zeek. I modeled a complete IT-to-OT attack chain on MITRE ATT&CK, pipelined Kiwi syslog into ELK for real-time dashboards, and designed UniSOC — an asset-management platform with SIEM and SOAR for industrial control systems.

CyberPeace FoundationStudent CoordinatorAug 2023 - Jul 2024 · 1 yr
I sourced real cybersecurity projects for the student community and led development of TrustTrace, a multi-modal deepfake detector spanning image, audio, and video. I was the bridge between the Foundation and students, onboarding them into live security initiatives.
Research InternAug 2022 - Aug 2023 · 1 yr 1 moMy first hands-on security role. I deployed Snare and Tanner honeypots on Raspberry Pi devices across the college network, monitored them for live attacks, and ingested the logs into the ELK Stack — using what I found to map the threat landscape facing the education sector.

An early foundations role covering risk management, incident response, and security awareness. I worked hands-on in Cisco Packet Tracer, designing a network topology for my college and mapping its attack surface.

Where the curiosity got serious. I learned offensive techniques hands-on — building decoy mobile apps for penetration testing and exploiting vulnerabilities to reach target Windows machines in controlled labs. This is where breaking things turned into a discipline.

Course AssistantNew York University, Tandon School of Engineering
I ran the weekly labs for CS-2163, Intro to Programming in C, walking 30+ students from very different backgrounds through pointers, memory, structs, and file I/O. I authored the material end to end — lab notes, homework, exam questions, extra-credit projects — graded on PrairieLearn, and partnered with the professor on exams and logistics. The notes grew into a 12-week curriculum with 80+ runnable example programs still used by undergrads.

Led a 30+ member council, owning event planning, resource allocation, and team structure. I ran weekly engagement events and monthly industry meetups open to the whole campus, made the strategic calls on direction, delegated to team leads, and mentored the incoming VP so it kept running after my tenure.
